- 48 hours from the time we receive both your quote and payment. If we need to ask you clarifying questions, that clock pauses until you reply.
- Are you affiliated with any pool builders?
- No. Our reviewers are retired pool contractors — they don't compete for your job. We are not paid by builders, do not accept referral fees, and never recommend a specific company. We only work for homeowners.
- Who is reviewing my quote?
- Retired and former pool contractors — people who spent their careers building pools, pulling permits, and running pool-building crews. They're no longer taking on jobs, so their opinion is genuinely unbiased.
- What do I get back?
- A written PDF report emailed to you within 48 hours. It includes a letter grade (A–F) on your proposal, a marked-up copy of your contract with questions to ask your builder and the answers you should expect, and a list of every issue that needs to be addressed before you sign.
- Do you also review pool designs?
- Yes — Design Review is a $75 add-on to any Quote Review. We look at layout, feature placement, equipment location, lighting, and anything you might be missing or should reconsider.
- What is the Contractor Check add-on?
- A $75 add-on that verifies your builder's real permit history, license status, complaints, lawsuits, and how long they've actually been in business.
- What format should I upload?
- PDF is best. If you have photos or a printed copy, combine clear images into a PDF before uploading. Max 20 MB per file.
- Do you review contracts I've already signed?
- Yes — but the value is highest before you sign. If you've already signed, we can help you understand what you agreed to and where your risk lies.
- Do you work in every state?
- Yes. Codes, permitting rules, and pricing vary by region, and our reviewers factor that into every report.
- Do you offer refunds?
- If we haven't started your review yet, yes. Once a reviewer has begun the work, the fee is non-refundable.
